Refund Policy

1. Overview
This Refund Policy (the "Policy") sets out the terms under which Qotify ("we", "us", "our") processes payments and considers refund requests for the Qotify service, including monthly subscriptions and lifetime access plans (collectively, the "Service"). By purchasing the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy. This Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and forms an integral part of the agreement between you and Qotify.
2. All Sales Are Final, No Refunds
ALL PURCHASES OF THE SERVICE ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS, CREDITS, OR EXCHANGES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE MANDATORY LAW.
This policy applies to every plan we sell, including but not limited to monthly recurring subscriptions, prepaid monthly subscriptions, and one-time lifetime access plans, regardless of currency (USD, EUR, or any other currency we may support), and regardless of the payment method used (credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or any other supported method).
The Service is digital content delivered electronically and made available for use immediately upon successful payment. Because the Service is consumed from the moment access is granted, and because each analysis we generate involves real, measurable third-party costs (vision-model inference, image storage, infrastructure), payments cannot be reversed once the Service has begun.
3. Why We Do Not Offer Refunds
Our no-refund policy is grounded in several practical and commercial considerations:
- Immediate digital delivery.Access to the Service is granted in full and without limitation the moment your payment is confirmed. There is no shipping delay, no holding period, and no "try before you buy" phase that can be unwound.
- Variable per-use cost. Each analysis you run consumes paid third-party AI inference and infrastructure resources that we cannot recover after the fact.
- Transparent pricing and self-serve cancellation. Pricing is shown in full before checkout, in your local currency where supported. Monthly subscribers can cancel at any time directly from their account settings and retain access through the end of the current billing period. You are never locked into a renewal you did not authorize.
- Optional discounted trial entry. A 50%-off introductory discount on the first month of the monthly plan is offered to new users via a promotional code, allowing you to evaluate the Service at reduced cost before committing further.
4. Subscription Cancellations
4.1 How to cancel
You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time through the settings page of your Qotify account (Settings → Subscription → Cancel subscription) or by contacting us at the email address listed in Section 12. Cancellation through Qotify takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
4.2 What cancellation does
When you cancel, your subscription is set to terminate at the end of your current paid billing period. You will continue to have full access to the Service until that date. After that date, your access ends, and your subscription will not renew. No further charges will be made to your payment method on file in connection with the cancelled subscription.
4.3 What cancellation does NOT do
Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund, full or partial, of any amount already paid. This includes, without limitation, any unused portion of a current billing cycle, any periods during which you did not actively use the Service, or any month in which you forgot to cancel before the auto-renewal date. It is your responsibility to cancel before the next renewal if you no longer wish to be billed.
5. Lifetime Plans
The lifetime access plan is a one-time, single-payment purchase. Once payment has been completed and access has been granted, the purchase is final and non-refundable. The lifetime plan does not auto-renew, does not generate further charges, and cannot be cancelled in the sense of a refund. If you wish to stop using the Service, you may simply discontinue use; no further action is required, and no refund will be issued.
6. Free Days, Pauses, and Retention Offers
During the cancellation flow, we may, at our sole discretion, offer alternatives such as additional free days added to your current billing period, a temporary pause of your subscription, or other retention offers. Accepting any such offer does not create an entitlement to a refund, in whole or in part, of any amount you have already paid or will pay. Retention offers are provided as a courtesy, may be modified or withdrawn at any time, and do not waive or alter any other provision of this Policy.
7. European Union Consumer Rights, Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer habitually resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom (a "EU/EEA/UK Consumer"), applicable mandatory consumer protection law (including Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, as transposed into national law) ordinarily grants you a 14-day right of withdrawal from distance contracts, without giving any reason and without incurring any cost other than those specifically provided by law.
7.1 Express request and waiver of the right of withdrawal
Pursuant to Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU (and its national equivalents, including Article L. 221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code), the right of withdrawal does notapply to the supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium where: (i) performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent; and (ii) the consumer has acknowledged that they will thereby lose their right of withdrawal once performance has begun.
The Service is digital content not supplied on a tangible medium. By completing your purchase, ticking the "I accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy" box, and selecting the option to begin using the Service immediately, you:
- Expressly request that we begin providing the Service immediately, before the expiry of the 14-day withdrawal period; and
- Expressly acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the supply of the Service has begun, i.e., as soon as your account is granted access.
Because access is granted instantly upon successful checkout, the supply of the Service will have begun in every ordinary case before any withdrawal request could be exercised. As a result, the 14-day right of withdrawal is, in practice, waived in full at the moment of purchase. No refund will be issued on the basis of the 14-day right of withdrawal.
7.2 Statutory rights preserved
Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit or exclude any statutory consumer right that cannot be lawfully limited or excluded by contract. EU/EEA/UK Consumers continue to benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence, including any non-waivable remedies for non-conforming digital content under Directive (EU) 2019/770 or its national transposition. Where a non-waivable remedy applies, our obligations will be performed in accordance with the applicable law.
8. Limited Exceptions
At our sole and absolute discretion, and without creating any precedent, entitlement, or obligation to act similarly in the future, we may agree to refund a payment in narrowly defined circumstances, including:
- Duplicate charges. If our systems erroneously charge you twice for the same subscription period or the same lifetime purchase, we will refund the duplicate amount upon verification.
- Unauthorized charges resulting from confirmed fraud. If you can demonstrate, with credible supporting evidence, that a charge was made by a third party without your authorization following the unauthorized takeover of your payment method or account, we will work with you and the payment processor to resolve the matter and, where appropriate, refund the unauthorized amount. You must report any suspected unauthorized charge within 30 days of the charge appearing on your statement.
- Complete inability to deliver the Service. If we determine, at our discretion, that we are unable to provide the Service to you at all (for example, a sustained and total service outage that we cannot reasonably remedy), we may, but are not required to, offer a prorated refund or credit for the affected period.
Requests under this Section 8 must be sent in writing to the contact address in Section 12, must include the email address used for the purchase, the approximate date and amount of the charge, and, where applicable, supporting documentation. We reserve the right to request additional information and to deny any request that we determine, at our discretion, does not fall within these narrow exceptions.
9. Chargebacks and Disputes
If you have any concern about a charge, please contact us first. We will work in good faith to understand your situation and explain the charge. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute through your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, in violation of this Policy, may result in:
- Immediate suspension or termination of your account and access to the Service, including any lifetime plan, without further refund or compensation;
- Recovery of the disputed amount, plus any chargeback fees, processing fees, and costs we incur as a result of the dispute;
- Permanent disqualification from purchasing the Service again, including under a different account or email address; and
- Referral of fraudulent chargeback activity to the relevant payment processor, fraud prevention network, or law enforcement authority, where appropriate.
Submitting a chargeback in respect of a charge that you authorized and that corresponds to Service you received does not entitle you to retain access to the Service or to recover the disputed amount.
10. Taxes
Prices displayed at checkout may be inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax) depending on your jurisdiction. Where taxes are charged in addition to the Service price, they will be shown at checkout before payment. Any refund issued pursuant to Section 8 will, where applicable, be made net of taxes already remitted to the relevant tax authority that we are not able to recover.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or business needs. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Updates take effect upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. The Policy in force at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
